Pep Talk with Daughter

No jogging this morning. As usual, sent Han to her school. While in the car, I have a pep-talk with her, which I always feel it's a good time though from house to her school only takes about 10 minutes but the effect will be great if I do it consistently.

Today's morning topic was her unwillingness to do revision as night. I asked her did she know that mommy cried last night ? Of course not true but white lie or 善意的謊言is workable if we use it correctly. She answered no. I told her mommy was very sad because every night she asked you to do study revision but you always don't want.

"Do you love mommy ?"
"Yes"
"Do you want to see mommy cry ?"
"No"
"Then what you should do ?"
" I will study tonight"

See, a simple and gentle talk can lead her start thinking what she has to do. That's is why I always believe kids can be taught if we parents can have more patience. Not praising myself here but I really dislike adult using excessive violent or raise the voice (like uncivilized) to yell at kids. Children are just like a piece of blank white paper. What and how we draw and color on this white paper will form their attitude, characters and habits.
