Standard Chartered Marathon 2018

Registered for Stand-Chart Marathon 2018. This is my 7th time, all the run was in 10km category. Was thinking for a long time whether should challenge myself to run the half marathon, which is 21km. Finally, decided to give it a try this year.

 The collection of race kits was at KLCC Convention Centre, so, brought my little princess along. She is happy to take a photo at KLCC Park.

The final day to collect race kits, arrived in the morning, expected to be very crowded later.

Many counters was opened and very efficient....though queue was long but it didn't take a long time to get the race kits.

All the participant names are printed on the board....but I could not find mine :)

Little princess felt very hungry by the time collected the race kits....here she is having her Yogurt at KLCC food court.

 Daddy and Xuan are having good lunch. Chicken rice cost RM8.50 here. 

Woke up 3.30am and went to Putra Heights LRT station to take LRT to the race venue since many major roads were closed today. Only selected LRT stations opened today and was free from 2am to 6am.

Packed with all green shirts passengers only. Though only 7 stations from Putra Heights to Majid Jamek station but it took about an hour to arrive.

By the time arrived, the time was 5.15 am and race started at 5.30am

All are waiting for the flag-off for the 21km.

 The emcee announced they were 11,000 runners in this category and it took me 10 minutes from the back to walk through the starting line.

 According to the official data, there are 11,891 runners in 21km category.

At the 11km , saw this motivation quote. 

Yes, I completed the run ahead of 9,000 participants.  :)  :)

Badly injured during the run, fall down within the first km but did not care more since I have long way to complete the run, not only my leg.......

Yes, 21.5km in 2 hours 31 minutes. My target was below 2 hours 30 minutes. Have to do try again in my next PJ half marathon, which will be in July 2018.

With the pace of 7 min/km, 21.5km burnt a total calories of 1448 kcal.
