Standard Chartered KL Marathon

Took part in 2014 Standard Chartered KL Marathon on 12 October 2014. Since the participants were about 35,200 couple with few major road closures, my friends and I decided to take LRT. After all, the LRT offered free ride from 3am to 6am, specially for this huge event, of course was sponsored the the organiser.

When we alighted from the Bandaraya Station, the 21km half marathon has just started. We could see lots of participants in this category also.

   10km Speed category to start at 6.45am.

Our Minister of Youth and Sport flagged off the Speed category and he also took part in this category, which the qualifying time for this category is within 75 minutes.

Hey, not bad huh. Rank 26 in this veteran speed category  :)

No way to compete with the winner of my category. Look at my position (yellow mark) when the winner finished his race.

 

A giant screen and Honda is also one of the sponsors of this event.

 

The main organizer has a special place for its staff. Great company !!

 Clear weather.

 A huge canvas for us to rest.

He finished the race within 1 hour. A very good example for other Ministers to follow.
